RadarCirebon.com (25/11/2018) | The Directorate General of Electricity (DJK) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Kemen-ESDM) paid a working visit to Cirebon Power Unit I Coal Fired Power Plant (PLTU). On the agenda, DJK brought with them public relations officials within the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, including the Presidential Staff Office, and the Central Information Committee.
Head of DJK’s Plans and Reports Section, Crisnawan Aditya ST MT explained a visit to the Cirebon Power PLTU to find out how Cirebon Power’s management handled issues in the community, also in management.
DJK itself was in Cirebon to conduct a public communication forum. The forum was followed by not only public relations at the DJK, but all public relations at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. There is also the president’s staff office and the Central Information Committee.
“We gained experience from the PLTU. Because the Cirebon PLTU has received several awards, especially in the environmental field,” he said.
From this visit, he said, participants gained an understanding that PLTU can also be clean if the management is good. This is proven by the Cirebon PLTU getting the Indonesia Best Electricity Award (IBEA) related to its environmental concern.
Public Relations officials at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources received a presentation on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental management. The visit was also filled with a close look at the operation of the plant, the process of unloading coal from the barge to the shelter, the utilization of the vocational center and the Terasi House.
Stake Holder Relations Manager, Petrus Sihono revealed, the visit was a recognition of Cirebon Power’s performance in carrying out CSR programs and environmental management. “Participants really appreciate what we are running,” he said.
The Director General of Electricity’s Public Relations of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Pandu Satria Jati said, from the results of his visit, many things could be taken as lessons. “Hopefully this can be applied in daily work in their respective departments,”
